Mechanical joints

Compression fittings create a mechanical joint using a clamping mechanism and a seal. They connect pipework without fusion or solvent cement and are used for both installation and repairs. Check that the fitting is suitable for the pipe material, outside diameter and operating conditions.

Threaded fittings connect pipes, valves and other system components. Different designs provide changes of direction, branches or transitions between components. When selecting a fitting, consider the thread type and size, material and appropriate sealing method.

Saddle fittings create a branch from the main pipe to connect an additional line. This category contains versions for mechanical attachment to the pipe. Select them according to the main pipe material and outside diameter, branch size and required connection.
